Katherine Hanni Butler Passes Away March 29 2011

POCATELLO - Katherine 
lee Hanni Butler, 62, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2011, at her sister's home following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born August 4, 1948, in Pocatello, Idaho, the daughter of Charles and Genetta Hanni. Kathy loved to spend quality time with family and friends, going for rides and camping trips up in the Mackay mountains and also enjoyed taking walks her dogs, Tazzi and Rusty. She owned and operated Mountain Valley Cellular servicing the Lost River Valley of Idaho. Kathy worked as an engineering assistant for Fluor Engineering and Constructors Company. Her work took her to Valdez, Alaska, building the Alaskan pipeline. Also to Venezuela working on a project and at company headquarters in the Los Angeles area.  She is survived by her brother, Robert Hanni, Pocatello; her sister, Susan (Bob) Johnston, Pocatello; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Genetta and Charles F. Hanni, brother, Charles F. Hanni Jr. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 2, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Grace Lutheran Church (1350 Baldy Ave., Pocatello, Idaho), with Pastor Jonathon Dinger officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 to 10 a.m. prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Mountain McCaleb Cemetery, Mackay, Idaho.
