Mackay High School Scholastic Team Competes at Regional/State Scholastic Tournament March 2013

The Mackay Scholastic Team went 1-2 at the 2013 Regional/State Scholastic Tournament. The kids played hard and had a good time. Coach Patrick Carlson couldn't say how proud he was to be their coach as they finished the season with a 17-3 record. Go MINERS.

The Idaho National Laboratory (INL) sponsors the Eastern Idaho Science Bowl, a competition that tests high school students knowledge of science and math.

Big Lost River Flows to the INL in November 2011

Late-season flows in the Big Lost River: Not since 1999, has the Big Lost River flowed onto the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) during November. Because of an above average precipitation event this October and an above average 2011 water year, fall flow occurred again in the river—which is an important source of recharge for the eastern Snake River Plain aquifer.
