Dentist O.B, Wade had the big house on the corner of Mackay Main Street and Spruce raised up and a basement added with its own outside entrance building circa 1910. The house was used as the US Forest Service Office after that.

This house became the Hazel Lundberg home in 1937 where she and daughter, Marjorie Christine Lundberg ran a boarding house with 2 apartments in the basement. The little building nestled between the main house and the side of the two-story Custer Hotel is a separate entrance to the lower portion of the home.
