Charmaine Owens Waddoups joined our father in heaven on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012.
She was born to Ellis Afton Owens and Juanita Helen Denton Owens on February 2, 1933, in Twin Falls, Idaho.
Charmaine married the love of her life, Robert Dale Waddoups, on April 11, 1951, in the Salt Lake City Temple. Bob always said she was the prettiest girl in the valley.
Charmaine was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held many church positions and loved working with the youth.
Charmaine loved her husband, family and friends. Despite her many health struggles, she always put others first. She spent countless hours sewing, cooking and gardening. She will be remembered by her "made with love" Christmas pajamas for the grandkids, Sunday dinners, baked bread and fried chicken. Charmaine spent many hours in her flower gardens and loved to be in her yard. She had an eye for beauty, which was apparent in her gardening abilities.
Surviving is her husband, Robert Dale Waddoups; two sons, Keith (Debbie) Waddoups and Wade (LeAnne) Waddoups; four daughters, Anita (Brad) McMurtrey, Susan (Dave) Selle, Connie (Curt) Fresh and Janie (Sheldon) Rosenkrance; two brothers, Leonard (Maeva) Owens and Alan (Doris) Owens; a sister, Helen (Howard) Richards; 22 grandchildren; and 31 great-grandchildren.
Charmaine was a caring wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed dearly by all. She is now resting in peace and enjoying her reunion in heaven with her parents and grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Moore LDS Stake Center in Moore, Idaho. A viewing will be held in her honor from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, at Anderson Family Funeral Home, 2555 N. Highway 93 in Arco, Idaho, and Saturday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Lost River Cemetery.
