Mary Mae Woods Hanni Passes Away

Mary Mae Woods Hanni passed away last night August 28 2011. She was born September 17, 1924. Will miss you Mary. Mary M. Hanni, 87, passed peacefully, at her home in Mackay on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011. A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2, at St. Barbara's Catholic Church in Mackay. A rosary service will be held prior to the service at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Mt. McCaleb Cemetery under the direction of the Anderson Family Funeral Home in Arco. Published in Post Register on August 30, 2011

 
Mary M. Hanni, 86, passed away Saturday, Aug. 27, 2011, at her home in Mackay, Idaho.
She was born Sept. 17, 1924, in White Knob, Idaho, the fourth child of Claude and Florence Ritson Woods.
Mary was raised in Mackay and graduated from Mackay High School in 1942. While in high school, Mary was active with the girl's basketball team and the band club.
On Nov. 2, 1942, Mary married the love on her life, Clyde Nephi Hanni, in Arco, Idaho. They were blessed with three boys and a daughter.
Mary worked for Bell Telephone Co., during the time when you still had to ask to be connected to another line. Mary also worked as a waitress for the 3L Caf.
Mary was a member of the Joe Nowacki American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 16 and a member of St. Barbara's Catholic Church.
Surviving her are her three sons, Richard (Beckie) Hanni of Mackay, Michael (Mickie) Hanni of Idaho Falls and Jerry (Carol) Hanni of Caldwell, Idaho; 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers-in-law, Wayne (Winnie Mae) Hanni of Pineville, N.C., and Floyd Jerry (Ellen) Hanni of Whidbey Island, Wash.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde; a daughter, Cheryl Ann; her parents; three sisters, Florence, Ora and Laura; and her brother, Claude Jr. (Willy).
A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2, at St. Barbara's Catholic Church in Mackay, with a rosary service to be held at 10 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will be in Mt. McCaleb Cemetery, under the direction of the Anderson Family Funeral Home of Arco.
