A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, at the Anderson Family Funeral Home, 2555 N. Highway 93 in Arco
Eleanor Rose Williams, 83, of Mackay, Idaho, passed away Friday, March 25, 2011, at her home in Mackay. Eleanor was born April 16, 1927, to Peter and Barbara Pill in Chicago, Ill. As a child, she grew up in Chicago and attended an all-Catholic school, where she graduated from high school as valedictorian. Eleanor met Tom Williams, who was serving in the U.S. Navy in 1944, and they married in Chicago in 1946. They moved to the Teton Basin area in Idaho and then to Mackay. Eleanor worked for Idaho First National Bank, Mackay Branch, for 31 years when she retired and then worked for the city of Mackay for seven years. When retired, she volunteered her time to the Mackay Museum and the American Legion. Eleanor enjoyed her free time with her grandson, Josh (Krista) Mays; three granddaughters, Casey, Audry and Tekkla Williams; her extended family, Kelsie, Cory and Kyler; her great-grandson, Rhilan; great-granddaughters, Courtney and JayCee; and her dog, Baxter, the joy of her life. Eleanor will be remembered for her smile, laughter and love of people. She is survived by her husband, Thomas J. Williams of Mackay; and two sons, Jerald "Jerry" Sharon Williams of Tigard, Ore., and James "Jimmy" Terry Williams of Arco, Idaho. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and two sisters. A funeral Mass will be held for Eleanor at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, at Anderson Family Funeral Home, 2555 N.
