Lorraine Robinson Mendes Passes Away December 26, 2010

Lorraine Mendes went to dance on the streets of gold on December 26, 2010 at the age of 82. She was born June 3, 1928 in Mackay, Idaho to Jack and Mamie Robinson. She attended school in the Lost River Valley. Lorraine graduated from nursing school as an RN in 1949 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She married Frank Mendes February 17, 1950 in Logan, Utah. Frank & Lorraine have 4 children; Susan Humbyrd & husband, Bob and 2 children, Tyson & Kara, John Mendes and wife, Judy, and children Jeff, Nick, & Ben, Michael Mendes, and Marie Pecht and husband, Bryan and son, David. She devoted her life to caring for her family and friends. She enjoyed sewing and other crafts. Spending time with her youngest grandson David was what she loved most these last 11 years. She had an older brother Wendell Robinson who preceded her to heaven as well as her parents and an aunt, Iva Tipton. Lorraine will be greatly missed by her husband Frank, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will celebrated at 10:00 am on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at St Mark's Catholic Church, with internment following at Mt. Caleb cemetery in Mackay Idaho.
