Buy a 1908 Mackay Women's Club Cookbook to Support the South Custer Historical Society

The South Custer Historical Society and the Mackay's Women's Club is selling the 1908 Mackay Women's Club Cookbook exactly as it was sold in 1908 for $15. The books are available at the Western Store and Theresa's Beauty Shop in Mackay. If you'd like to order a book to be mailed to you, the cost will be $15 plus an additional $3.90 for shipping. Send your check to South Custer Historical Society, P.O. Box 372, Mackay, Idaho. 83251.

All profits will be split between the South Custer Historical Society and the Mackay Women's Club. Printing was done locally at the Arco Advertiser.

Not a single recipe indicates that you should open a can of something - cook like your ancestors did - a must have!

  2. We had 100 books made. We have already sold about 60 of the book. I'm not sure if the Historical Society will vote to have a 2nd printing done. Hope this answers your question.
