Rita Marie Lundy Passes March 21 2010

Rita Marie Lundy passed away on March 21, 2010 at her home in Mackay. She was born April 25, 1927 in Waterbury, Connecticut, to Joseph LaBrecque and Yvonne LePage LaBrecque. Rita met her husband James Lundy in California and they were married on March 6, 1950 in Yuma, Arizona. They just celebrated their 60th Anniversary. Rita and Jim made their home in Torrance, California and Phoenix, Arizona until 1971 when they moved to Mackay. Rita worked as the office manager for the Lost River Irrigation District for more than 20 years and she enjoyed serving all of the farmers of the district.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, and especially her children and grandchildren. She was devoted to her faith and loved the Lord. Rita loved to travel and got to experience China, Greece, France, England and Mexico, and enjoyed meeting new people and sharing experiences. Rita actively served with the congregation of the Mackay Community Church. She was also a member of the Eastern Star and the Cowbelles.
Rita is survived by her husband, her sons Gordon and Brian, their wives Diane and Cindy, her grandchildren Kiera, Ryan and Cameron.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 26, 2010 at the Mackay Community Church in Mackay. Internment was at the Chilly Cemetery near Mackay. Arrangements were under the direction of the Lost River Funeral Chapel, 345 Sunset Drive, Arco, Idaho
