Sammy's Mini Mart Grand Re-Opening Under New Local Ownership and Management July 12 and 13 2013

Sammy's gave out free fountain drinks and coffee today for their Grand Re-Opening and new Magee family management acquired from the Marinac family. Tomorrow, they are all set up for FREE hot dogs and hamburgers from Noon to 4 PM on 14 July 2013. Don't miss is it ! !

Hot dogs and hamburgers were served to the large crowd at Sammy's Grand Re-opening prepared by manager, Penny Wall and family.

Owner, Fran Magee was present to greet everyone.

Frank Malkiewicz along with long-time Sammy's employee (24 years), Henry Williams. Frank makes sure Sammy's has doughnuts from the Spice of Life Bakery every Wednesday through Saturday at Sammy's for sale.

Blast from the Past - Colonel Frank J Malkiewicz Takes a F-4 Phantom Ride with Son, 1st Lt. Jeff Malkiewicz - October 27 1972

Colonel (USAF) Frank J. Malkiewicz, married to Marjorie Christine Lundberg Malkiewicz of Mackay, Idaho (Mackay High School Class of 1942 Valedictorian). 1st Lt. (USAF) Jeffry Edward Malkiewicz is their son. While serving in the United States Air Force in Vietnam, Jeff was able to give his dad a ride in a F4 Phantom jet, October 27 1972.

You might have heard that Frank J. Malkiewicz, 91, collapsed at Sammy's early yesterday morning 23 March 2012 and was taken by the Mackay Ambulance to Lost Rivers Medical Center in Arco, Idaho. Thanks MIchelle for calling 911 so promptly.

Thanks to Randy Ivie and Bart Wojciechowski for the transport and concern. Frank had a low heart rate that resolved throughout the day and he was discharged home. Thanks Gretchen Lawrence. Frank will see a cardiologist in Idaho Falls on next Tuesday, but is doing well and is, in fact, back at Sammy's this morning!
