Historic Perk's in Mackay, Idaho is CLOSED - March 2013

Historic Perk's on Mackay Idaho Main Street has been closed for months and remains CLOSED March 13 2013. From the Saddle Gallery next to Perk's is also CLOSED.
Perk's was named for its founder, I.T. Perkins in 1918. Perk, as he was known, was 30 years old at the time being born in 1888.

Eventually, looked like this before it was severely burned in fires in 1965 and 1966 which destroyed the animal mounts.

Mape Lundberg, husband to Hazel Anderson Lundberg, was a mechanic in Mackay, Idaho. He died in Mackay in 1934 of heart failure. Hazel never remarried and lived in Mackay, Idaho until her death in 1985.
