Mackay Airport March 30 2010
This afternoon around 2 PM. Bob Diers used to have a Flying School in Mackay, but that is a historical sign now.

We had snow overnight. Mt. McCaleb has new snow as seen from the Mackay Airport. Mt. McCaleb Cemetery can be seen on the right at the base of the mountain.

High Country Technology Park Road is officially named Stockman's Drive March 27 2010
The old road to the former Mackay Stockyards and Sale Barn is being improved to accommodate the new High County Technology Park. Former Mackay resident, Doug Sayer of Premier Technologies will be the first business (making hunting equipment). The old stockyards and sale barn have been razed. The building on the right belongs to John Powers.

The Mackay Dam is currently at 92 percent, so it won't be long before they start letting more water in to the river below the dam.
Aerial Tramway Supports March 15 2010
At the Alder Creek Turn on the Mine Hill. These former supports moved copper ore from the Empire Mine to the Smelter above the Big Lost River in Mackay.
